Though rarely found outside the confines of the mid-western United States, this dessert has to be one of the best kept secrets in America for those of you who enjoy sugar

Coke and Jello. Two of the most beloved food products of all time.

Invented over 100 years ago, “America’s Most Famous Dessert” and Coca-Cola’s “Delicious and Refreshing” logos were plastered from Florida to Washington on roadside buildings almost manically. By the 1950’s, including the internationally successful brands into your backyard BBQ was nearly mandatory. Given the air of sophistication they provided, no self-respecting suburban host would be caught without them.

What better idea than to combine these two American icons for a delightfully colorful (if somewhat wobbly) dessert that will be sure to satisfy the sweet tooth and impress your most finicky of party guests. This how-to video will explain everything you will need to get started. San Jose, California.

COKE SALAD

1 pkgs. cherry Jell-O
1 pkg. lemon Jell-O
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
1 can of cherries
1 c. nuts
1 c. boiling water
1 can Coca-Cola

Mix Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water. Add pineapple, do not drain. Add cream cheese that has been mashed or whipped with a little of hot Jell-O mixture. Add coke and nuts. When practically set, stir and pour into mold. This makes a large salad.

Located in the Challis National Forest about 150 miles from Boise, Bonanza came to life in 1876 following the discovery of what became known as the General Custer Mine. In the following years an incredible amount of gold was found in this area and it quickly became known as the mother lode of Yankee Fork, attracting hopeful miners from all over.
Over one-hundred years later, Bonanza serves as the perfect backdrop for this classic Butter Burger demonstration.

Trailer Knowledge: Cowboy Coffee is coffee brewed in a standard cooking pot without special equipment or filters and it is the most usual method of coffee preparation in Finland and Norway; similar to Turkish coffee in style and preparation.
